You might have seen it reported in the Blackpool Gazette (1 October) that the Fleetwood Town Business Club has hit the target of more than £1m of business referrals in it's first year of operating.
The group now has 30 members from a variety of industry areas who meet on alternate Thursday mornings at Highbury for breakfast, followed by business pitches, networking and referrals.
The most recent notable example is the sponsorship of the Blackpool Illuminations by the Club’s main sponsor BES Commercial Electricity – which stemmed from an introduction to member BES Commercial Gas from Jane Littlewood at the Rabbit Patch – who is also an Ambassador with the Friends of the Illuminations.
Martin Booker, Business Development Manager with FTFC says “Since I launched the Club in March 2013 we’ve seen some excellent partnerships develop and we see Fleetwood Town as a vehicle to promote local business. We can work with members to help them to work together and with the Club and beyond”.
“To reach the £1m mark for value of referrals is a fantastic achievement and one which will attract other businesses to get involved.”
